The restful lounge is separated from the dining room by a stone archway and this in turn leads through into the kitchen with solid pine cupboards and granite work surfaces. All modern conveniences are provided including electric oven and gas hob, dishwasher and fridge freezer. A separate TV room/library is nearby, with TV, VCR and DVD player.
A hallway leads to a guest cloakroom, followed by a double-bedded room with beamed ceiling and small en-suite bathroom. The master bedroom is very spacious, with a king-size bed, Satellite TV (limited English channels) and VCR. Patio doors lead directly to the pool terrace. The luxurious, split-level main bathroom features corner Jacuzzi bath, walk-in shower, bidet, and “his and hers” basins in a granite vanity unit. The hallway can be closed off to make this bathroom en-suite if required. The WC is separate, off the main hallway. Two twin bedded rooms, both with fitted wardrobes and windows looking onto the pool area follow. All four bedrooms and the lounge have air-conditioning units, which can be used for either cooling or heating.
The former artists studio has been transformed into a day room/children's play room, with many books, toys and drawing table and materials. Comfortable seating and a drinks fridge make this room the ideal refuge from the hot sun.
The swimming pool is larger than average being 12m x 6m (depth 1.8m throughout) and has the added feature of a small overflow pool with seating, just the place to enjoy a glass of wine! There is a pool bar, washing machine room and WC and shower. 8 sunbeds surround the pool and the huge Palm trees in the large tropical garden provide natural shade. Verandas at all sides of the villa offer different places to sit in either the sun or shade. However, the hidden jewel is the delightful central courtyard with its Arabic style arches, exotic Palms and brightly coloured flowers. The courtyard is split into two levels and is completely walled. The upper level has been created into an outdoor seating/dining area; the surrounding whitewashed stone arches giving a very private and romantic feel to this unique area. The lower area has a barbeque, traditional stone oven and water feature. |
