Location - Paphos, ChloracasChloracas is situated approximately midway between Coral Bay and Paphos. The beach resort of Coral Bay is approximately 7 kilometres away whilst the harbour area of Paphos is approximately 5 kilometres away. The blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea lap the rugged Chloracas coastline which overlooks the shipwreck - a well known local landmark. Loosely separated into two communities, the coastal area of Chloracas features several hotels and apartment complexes and a growing and varied selection of eating places. A mini-market and a pub are within 700 metres of the villa with a selection of restaurants within 2 kilometres. Set approximately 2 kilometres inland is the original village centre which these days combines both traditional and modern aspects of Cyprus living. The village features a traditional taverna offering the famous Cypriot meze style of dining, a couple of takeaways and international restaurants and a large supermarket. With the border between Chloracas and the neighbouring village of Kissonerga being virtually indistinguishable, the sandy cove of Vardas Beach which is approximately 3 kilometres away is great for swimming, sunbathing and snorkeling. Heading back towards Paphos you come across Pharos (Lighthouse) beach a stretch of sand and shingle awarded with a blue flag. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available for hire, a snack bar provides refreshments and for the more energetic there is a beach volleyball court. Although car hire is highly recommended for all our villas to help you make the most of your stay, there is a local bus service that connects Chloracas with Paphos town and the sandy beach at Coral Bay. Coral Bay is the well known beach resort for the Paphos district. This family oriented area has become a lively resort with plenty to offer in terms of amenities and activities. The resort boasts two sandy beaches, the busier of the two being the popular Coral Bay Beach, a sandy horseshoe shaped bay honoured with a Blue Flag of the European Union. Sunbeds and umbrellas are available for hire, watersports are on offer and there are two beach cafés providing refreshments. A little further along the coast is the quieter of the two beaches at Corallia Bay. Continue still further along the coast and you reach the natural rock caves of the area know locally as Sea Caves, an area which provides ideal snorkelling territory and is popular with local scuba diving schools. Paphos Town once the capital of the island is now included in the official UNESCO list of cultural and natural treasures of the world's heritage. The remains of villas, palaces, theatres, fortresses and tombs mean that the town is of exceptional architectural and historic value. The well preserved mosaics and the Tombs of the Kings are probably the biggest cultural draw with further archaeological discoveries continually being made. Ano Pafos on the cliff is the main administrative centre and residential district while Kato Pafos, by the sea, is the main tourist area built around the harbour and medieval port. Exploring Coral Bay, Paphos and everywhere in between, increases the list of available activities and attractions to include mini golf, watersports, go-karting, horse riding, a snooker hall, bowling alley, heritage sites, modern shopping facilities, a waterpark, an aquarium and the Paphos Bird and Animal Park. There are 3 golf courses; Tsada Golf Course, Secret Valley Golf Course and Aphrodite Hills Golf Course within approximately 30 minutes drive.
